How about Kurdistan, Shiastan and Sunnistan?
8/14/2014 12:29:03 PM
Don't forget about Shitstan.

It doesn't matter how you partition it, it's going to be a total shitstorm without a strong central power/dictator to keep the various factions in line. It's either that or wait a few hundred years for Islam to calm down the way Christianity did.

^^^ "shiastan" would just be iran.

Kurdistan isnt really a shitstorm now. The syria part is safe and the iraq part is safe since the airstrikes. They have a strong military and government. They have since the no fly zone 20 something years ago.

Its going to be a lot of fun when the kirds use these american weapons against turkey. Just in case anyones still keeping score at home there are now 4 groups foghting eac j other with american we weapons in the area. We want asad out but need isis for thatWe want isis out but need kirds for thatWe are allied with turkey and ssunni arabia who love isisThis will all end as wither 3 hostile states or we will install a dictator to be like saddam. If we succeed with the current government will have created irans biggest ally.

You know you're hated when you are condemned by the Saudi Grand Mufti as the number one threat to Islam and have Kurdish infantry backed by Iranian tanks, Iraqi commandos, and supported by American and Syrian air power in a combined effort to destroy your ragtag army consisting of entire divisions of Sunni tribesmen ready to betray you at a moment's notice. I mean really, all you need now are the Israelis to provide covert support, and you've done what no one else has ever done in history, unite the Middle East. That takes real effort.https://medium.com/war-is-boring/iran-sends-tanks-into-iraq-to-fight-islamists-d130c9fa58bb

lots of lines on maps getting moved around these days...biji kurdistan?

Turkey would bomb it unless it was long-term protected by the US, given billions per year in US arms, build an Iron Dome over Erbil, etc. Any “drawing of lines” in the Middle East is going to be Israel 2.0.

there are of course many reasons why it wouldn't happen, but just like this might be a once in a lifetime (or multiple lifetimes) chance for Iran to free itself of the Islamic regime, the Kurds might see this as a once in a lifetime (or multiple lifetimes) chance to bring about a free Kurdistan, even if in only a portion of "their" lands.i've long been keeping an eye on Reza Pahlavi as a hopeful transitional leader for Iran, but I'm not sure what his relationship/view of the Kurds is frankly. I've noticed he's used the phrase "territorial integrity" in his speeches, but I'm not sure if that's just because he doesn't want to see Iran turn into civil war on ethnic lines (rather than regime vs anti-regime civil war). But I do think since Pahlavi wants to stay cooperative with the West, he might be willing to accept a Trump brokered deal where the Kurds help defeat the IRGC and Pahlavi recognizes a free Kurdistan.Just like while lines on maps were being redrawn after the Ottoman empire fell, I thought it was reasonable that the Hashemites were willing to accept a British brokered deal where the Zionists help defeat the Ottomans and Faisal recognizes a free Israel next to a free Arab state.I'm not saying it's gonna happen that way, but if there were ever a moment for that timeline to materialize for the Kurds, it might as well be now.[Edited on March 4, 2026 at 3:44 PM. Reason : the pro-Pahlavi Persians on twitter do NOT seem interested in a free Kurdistan]
