https://www.wral.com/story/nc-state-s-poe-hall-closing-after-environmental-testing-classes-will-be-held-elsewhere/21154404/

So if there’s a class action lawsuit, think I can get in on it? I had classes there.

^ College of Education, no? They did, in fact, have a decent computer lab, I had a Solid Works class in there IIRC.

Could being in that building once 20 years ago be the cause of my crippling fibromyalgia?

Bttt

Vote on chancellor tomorrow at noon.

Likely a big lawsuit incoming. 52 cases of cancer linked to POE

don't worry, they will settle the lawsuit out of court and then increase student activity fees to cover it

^^it's not "linked to Poe".

It's 52 cases of cancer that the people were in Poe at some point. Poe may have "caused" a few, but it's likely just a coincidence for the majority of those 52. Or maybe it's not.

I had a class there in 2003 and another in 2004. That must be why I woke up with a headache this morning.

I had several classes in Poe Hall. One of my neighbors died from cancer last year.

EMCE confirmed as a silent carrier / vector of the Poe cancer. It skipped right over you and infected your neighbor.

This vote on the chancellor seems dumb to me. At least wait until the investigation has made some significant progress or yielded concrete results.

Like you're a professor, show some resolve

^ They don't know anything they didn't learn from reading something on WRAL. They're just angry the University admin isn't being transparent enough. The admin MO seems to be to not communicate a lot, but I think that's a bad PR choice.

Looks like the investigation into contamination in Poe Hall has been terminated due to budget cuts at the CDC. Nothing to see here folks.

It's more of a coincidence than calculation on our part.

Speaking of nothing to see, this means that now NO buildings in America will be investigated for these sorts of things moving forward.
