I’d also recommend ass-less chaps and no pants while riding. It will get you more notice than High Vis clothing. The added bonus is you can feel the bikes vibrations better and grip the seat it turns better.

I also realized this. I used a solar charger to keep my phone charged and sometimes walked down the road to get a partial cellular data signal so I could continue shitposting.

Was the motorcycle driving test difficult?

Not terribly.


So, I took the Harley Davidson MSF course, which consisted of classroom and range work. At the conclusion of the course there was a written exam that covered a lot of the material on basic motorcycle maintenance, emergency procedures, riding tactics, etc. points deducted for wrong answers.
There was also a riding test that covered basic maneuvering, starting, stopping, swerving, turning, accelerating, emergency stopping, etc. points deducted for going outside of cones/lines, and going outside of the bounds for the course.

If you pass, you are notified that you are obligated to wave at all bikers you encounter on the road. You also get an endorsement, and a discount on motorcycle insurance (for completing the MSF course).

Even with that, i definitely spent the first month just riding around the neighborhood, gradually increasing my range. I still go out to empty parking lots to practice.

My instructor said that to us. He also said it is optional to wave at scooters, but he does so anyway.

sometimes bikers wave at me in my slingshot when i wear a helmet, i wave at small convertibles

the main thing to know about slow speed turns on a bike to use the rear brake and slip the clutch at the same time

Is riding season! I picked my bike up yesterday, and I picked my wife's bike up today from winter storage.

I have the feeling that my ridind time will become limited very soon, because once my wife gives birth I doubt I'll have a whole bunch of time to ride.

If I'm going to be honest with you, the bike makes men come up and talk to me. Not women.
I can recall three instances with women:

1) I was filling up my tank at the gas station, and this lady filling up at the pump in front of me was giving me the eyes like she was ready to risk it all.

2) There is this popular ice cream parlor in town, in the middle of a shopping center parking lot. All of the seats are usually taken. Anyway, I stopped on my bike to get some ice cream on a hot day, and I'm sitting on my bike eating it. A young man (maybe 16 or 17) comes up and has questions about my bike, because he's thinking about getting one soon. Then his mom comes up, and is chatting. Then mom is making those eyes, and making conversation -- and you just know that if her kid wasn't there, she would be asking for that penis.

3) I had to pick something up from the vet, and stopped in on my bike. Of course, the entire staff working there are young, attractive women. One in particular has tattoos, dark features, and has this exotic look that I find quite sexy. Anyway, they all heard my bike in the parking lot, and when I entered the lobby they were all batting their eyes, making small talk, wanting to come out and see the bike, etc.

But by and large, it is dudes that come up and want to talk shop.



The baby may be a different story. My dogs have always been chick magnets, so I bet a baby might be as well.

Nah, the babies don’t really work that way.

The bar for being a good dad has been set so low, what will end up happening is when you take your baby for a stroll down the street or at the park, women will look and be like “Awwww what a great dad”.
