@MegaBubble Sometimes, when musicians go commercial, they tend to take the easy road. They sign a contract for so many songs, so many albums, so many tours and such, and it zaps the creativity from them. They just want to complete their contract, get paid, and move on. That is one reason why many studio musicians are virtuosos... they do it for the music, not the money. No contracts. Just play some sessions, get paid, get laid, and move on. I worked at a recording studio in NYC in the 1980s. I went to a lot of after-parties. That is how I met Angeina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, not to mention a lot of musicians. Eddy VanHalen? Yeah, I should him a couple of things... he picked things up very quickly.
