It’s the same issue it’s been. Half court offense after a made basket or dead ball is generally ok. Any other time we just don’t get back on defense quick enough and dudes are wide open. We’re out of position. Bad offense leading to easy offense for the opponent.

We either force a turnover or give up an open look. We have good defensive energy generally. Active hands and tip a lot of passes and get steals. But we also just give up wide ass open looks. Sometimes nobody picks up the ball and they break the press with an easy dunk. Other times we don’t rotate fast enough. It’s kind of a miracle this game is even somewhat close. They’re shooting 65%, 50% from 3.

They’ve missed 11 shots. That’s all. Able has missed 7 all by himself.

DW isn’t the dude we need him to be. Not an especially good defender or rebounder. He’s a good scorer but not really a guy that’s just gonna take over a game. He’s pretty passive. He’s a good shooter and crafty but we need dogs. Holloman and Q have that mentality but they aren’t gonna be able to do it on a nightly basis. They can and will have good games but if we’re counting on high scoring totals from them every game we’re in trouble.

O'Connell was just a terrible defender and terrible shooter who was good at taking care of the ball and decent at running an offense. He infuriated me because he should have been playing backup minutes but was instead playing 30 minutes a game and should have never been playing in late game situations.

Breed just doesn't do anything. He doesn't shoot (which i guess is good because historically he is bad at it), he doesn't rebound, he doesn't play tough defense. On offense he mostly just stands in a corner. On defense, he's like the smallest guy on the team and makes that switching everything tougher on everyone.

I don't hate him with a passion, i just don't understand why he's regularly getting minutes. He's not doing anything! Other teams clearly know this and can easily shade defense away from him, making everything tougher on his teammates when he's playing.
