4/21/2012 4:04:06 PM
Nice play by Asa. Hate to see the missed tackles though. McGill showed some good speed for a DT though
4/21/2012 4:07:31 PM
So many running backs I've never heard of.
4/21/2012 4:10:02 PM
i was hoping to see Brosius pass (tuned in late) and so far it's all runs by black. Now it's stocker?
4/21/2012 4:10:05 PM
how is the score 7-6? i walked away from the computer for about 15 minutes and it was 0-0
4/21/2012 4:10:53 PM
black team moved the ball down the field with runs, scored, then the first or second play for white, Asa Watson took one for 74 yards to the 1 yard line, they punched it on on a run the next play
4/21/2012 4:13:38 PM

My take on a position break down from the game today. I know it was the spring game, so none of this is set in stone, but it's just how I saw effort and little bit of talent and cohesiveness. QB: Mike Glennon, not much else to say. May not have looked like the Glennon at the end of the season, but no doubt in my mind going to be top tier (if not top overall) quarterback in the ACC, and one of best in nation. Tyler Brosius looked good. Made some nice reads and passes. Wide receivers had some drops but can't blame the quarterback. He put them where they needed to be. RB: Tony Creecy doing a good job of finding hole and exploding through it. Def has improved in picking up blocks in pass game. Overall not too impressed, but still seeing some good stuff and has some potential with Creecy, Washington and Barnes. WR: Not really seeing anybody standing out as of yet and some bad drops. Talent is there, going to take some time to mesh together with Glennon. Rashard Smith coming over to the offensive side may help once he gets more used to the position. Tobias Palmer needs to keep improving from last year. Asa Watson's play was nice, and found the open field to run, but got run down by a defensive tackle. Best looking receiver was probably Underwood. Made some catches and showed some great speed. Probably should have scored on that long play, but defensive back had a great angle. OL: Not super impressed for the amount experience. A lot of holes and a lot of pressure from the defensive line. But they did a good job of seeing the blitz and picking them up. Not very consistent, but were some good examples of dominating the line of scrimmage. DL: Good pressure up field and good pursuit. T.Y. McGill made a hell of a play to trip up Asa Watson on the big pass. Put good pressure and made the offensive line make mistakes. Had a good number of sacks (whistle sacks). LB: Saw some guys trying to earn the spot and make a name. Sterling Lucas is coming back and looks like he is picking up where he left off. Ryan Cheek was making plays and was involved in a lot. Liked what I saw from him. DB: BALL HAWKS! Amerson with one and Wolff with the pick 6. No questions going into the game, and none after. As for a non-starter, I liked Tyrrell Burriss. He was out there getting after it, making hits and trying to make a name for himself. Special Teams: Niklas Sade made a great 40 yeard field goal in the rain and Wil Baumann has been making some great punts. No 5 yard punts today. Long snapper did a good job of putting the ball where it needed to be.From Pack Pride, attendance was announced as 24,797.[Edited on April 21, 2012 at 5:48 PM. Reason : ]
