honestly, this area stinks for tech jobs imo.

The DMV is ripe with tech jobs. Many of them are security clearance restricted though, which can present it's own obstacles. Companies can be reluctant to sponsor clearances often times, leading to a reduced talent pool, requisitions going unfilled, or feeble attempts to fit currently cleared applicants into the wrong role.

i once applied for a tech job at the state board of elections. the pay range was doo-doo, but i was feeling patriotic
