Losing Jozy is really hurting Bradley. He's basically playing the Dempsey role when we have the ball which is clearly not his game. I think Klinsmann has done a good job with our starting XI and a few subs but he really did botch the entire offensive subs to me. If you have no faith in Mix, Wondo, AJ, Green (yes I know why he's there)... then why'd you bring them?I don't think he will do this but with Omar/Brooks both proving they are gamers at this level, he can move Cameron around because he's so versatile. If you put him at RB, you can push Fabian up and drop Zusi. If you put him at DM, you can drop Beckerman who probably needs a rest. I'm expecting the same lineup as the Portugal game, which is fine. But with how Belgium has looked so far, it would be nice to come out and try to take the game to them a bit from the start. I really wish we could use FJ more because he's so dangerous.

Really thought Russia was going to advance the way they were playing yesterday. Fucking laser pointers.

^^^Have we had a game progress yet that called out for offensive subs like Mixx? Maybe after we grabbed the lead vs Portugal because he's decent at keeping possession. Green was obviously promised a spot which I have no problem with.Side not....motherfucking Yedlin. Stud.
6/27/2014 11:31:44 AM
yeah that's true. But Brad Davis starts and Mix doesn't even see the field? Damn.
6/27/2014 11:33:13 AM
I think the Davis start was simply a lost gamble and nothing more. Against Germany (and especially Neuer), we were unlikely to score from the field of play. Our best shot at a goal was from a set piece and the best person to make a goal from the set piece was Davis. Without Jozy and the usual Bradley, we just couldn't muster any free kicks around the box and it went for naught. It wasn't necessarily a bad move by JK just unlucky.

Woohoo, Premiership baby!!
6/27/2014 12:48:17 PM
that raises a question i was thinking about earlier, since i don't follow club futbol closely. are there players on some of the national teams that don't play on a club team? probably not, but curious.
6/27/2014 1:25:00 PM
No. Not a World Cup level especially. You might find a guy without a club on some of the weaker third world type national teams.[Edited on June 27, 2014 at 1:32 PM. Reason : add another note]
6/27/2014 1:26:03 PM
Only player not currently on a team is Ochoa, the GK for Mexico. His contract is up and is a free agent. He was with Ajaccio in France.Of course his performance so far has several teams talking to him.[Edited on June 27, 2014 at 1:49 PM. Reason : .]
6/27/2014 1:48:27 PM
There are probably others since it's the summer. Off the top of my head as a Newcastle fan, I know Shola Ameobi doesn't have a club at the moment
6/27/2014 2:44:48 PM
That's obviously not what Bullet meant. Relatively high profile free agents don't count.

Met Bob Ley and the "Men In Blazers" #outsidethelines (yeah, I made that Twitter joke) of a Brazilian steakhouse yesterday in Rio. Was looking to get Colombia-Uruguay tickets fit today, but I really can't afford the asking prices. We might just go to the Maracana and try to get tickets after kickoff to see if prices drop down to a reasonable price.
6/28/2014 8:28:22 AM
Hope chile can get this W so Brazil can get back to the riots.
6/28/2014 12:35:24 PM
Obviously want to see the nappy headed ho Luiz lose so rooting for Chile.Howard Webb having the game of his life in an impossible gam to ref. Every decision spot on.Need Sanchez at Arsenal yesterday. And Vidal may be best b2b midfielder in world.

6/28/2014 1:18:55 PM

6/28/2014 1:26:30 PM

6/28/2014 1:55:39 PM

6/28/2014 7:29:59 PM
The bodies cant really go past 120. Neymar was breaking down too. You dont want to finish a game with half the player umable to sprint. Especially in a humod place. This isnt basketball.
