no, not that I recall
5/25/2026 10:48:08 AM
Ever had a worm farm or an ant farm? Or a hermit crab perhaps? Any fish like a beta fish or a gold fish?
5/25/2026 11:00:49 AM
no
5/25/2026 11:01:32 AM
Damn, striking out today. Sometimes i'm really good at this
5/25/2026 11:09:26 AM
Do you ever go to the dry cleaners?
5/27/2026 7:54:25 PM
Not really. Occasionally I will go through the drive thru with my wife to pick up or drop off something of hers. Maybe like 3 times in the 16 years we've been married. I think she took a dress shirt or two of mine up there once. I pretty much never wear anything that can't be machine washed.
5/27/2026 8:13:48 PM
About the same for me, very rare. I just took 3 pants and paid 18 bucks. Wtf is that the rate now? I just wanted some nicely ironed pants
5/27/2026 8:23:45 PM
I just took this picture of a rainbow when I was taking my dogs on their evening walk around the neighborhood. What do you think?[Edited on May 27, 2026 at 8:28 PM. Reason : Aaron earned an iron urn]

Does this more or less seem accurate to you for figuring out maintenance calories? I feel like you are an expert when it comes to weight loss, if you are wondering why I ask you
6/7/2026 1:47:44 PM
A "workout" can be a lot of different things to different people, so, no, I don't think this is very good. I compared the total calorie burn data from my Garmin watch to my weight loss over a year and the Garmin was pretty accurate.
6/7/2026 6:04:57 PM
Any advice on determining how many calories to eat per day?
6/7/2026 6:40:04 PM
Can you rank your top 5 big US cities?
6/7/2026 6:49:25 PM
^^The BMR and TDEE calculators online are reasonably accurate for most people. How much to eat depends on whether you want to lose, maintain, or gain.^I really don't travel much, especially to big cities. I can tell you I do not like going to Charlotte or Nashville. Idk if those are big enough. I'm really not a city guy.[Edited on June 7, 2026 at 8:41 PM. Reason : af]

Do you remember you suggested several years ago now the filson belt?It has held up remarkably well for as much as i wore it. And through some really grunt work for a few years too. I only wish i had got the next size down thickness, there are some loops very difficult to get through, and i can tuck the overlap in most pant loops. Never been washed or the leather treated or anything, still looks in good shape. Def some good stuff! I have been meaning to check out their brick and mortar store since forever, still haven't. Only have a few nationwide. Ah man...they closed it! Must have been a casualty of covid, actually just under a year ago. Damn![Edited on June 7, 2026 at 9:12 PM. Reason : ]
6/7/2026 8:53:18 PM
Yes, I remember recommending that. I punched new holes in mine while I lost weight. Eventually the tip reached halfway back around me, literally in the middle of my back. I still have it. I wear one from Hank's Belts now and it's really good, too. Similar belt at a lower price. I mostly work from home and don't wear hard pants or a belt very often.
6/7/2026 9:20:21 PM
I'm close to the last notch in mine since i am about as heavy as I have ever been. Thanks for hank recommendation, Filson doesn't appear to even sell a black belt anymore, just 3 versions of brown

What is your opinion of buying a new vehicle versus a used vehicle?
6/17/2026 1:42:44 AM
What is the best saltwater whitefish to eat
6/17/2026 2:11:29 AM
^^In 2026, new vehicles are garbage. A used vehicle has always been a more sound financial choice, but even more so now that the newer models are so unreliable. It's mostly horrible engines and transmissions that prioritize fuel economy over long term reliability. The electronics are also much more complex. Think about how shitty consumer electronics are now and how they don't last. Same shit is going in cars. The automakers learned to engineer to fail and make the failures so expensive that folks will just stay in a car payment indefinitely. They do not make money from folks like me who drive 20 year old vehicles with 300k miles and just fix them when they break.^Sea mullet aka virginia mullet aka kingfish aka whiting
6/17/2026 6:31:42 AM
Have you ever farted at just the absolute worst time? Like taking a test in elementary school and it just ricochet off the plastic seat or something?
6/17/2026 9:11:55 PM
6/17/2026 9:41:39 PM
^^you've given me something to think about. The car, not the mullet. I'd be worried the previous owner didn't take care of the car. Like driven it 40,000 miles without an oil/filter change.
6/18/2026 10:45:49 AM
New car engines don't last regardless of oil change interval. Direct injection pressure washing your cylinders with gasoline causing premature piston ring wear. Deposits building up on the backside of intake valves because there's no fuel before the intake port to keep them clean. Complicated cylinder deactivation systems that fail just for chasing a fraction of a mpg. 9+ speed automatic transmissions crammed into tiny little boxes that used to only house 5 speeds, so now everything is smaller and weaker. CVTs that won't make it 50k miles.A quick peek inside the valve cover with a borescope is usually sufficient to tell if the oil changes were done properly. Obviously you're always taking a little risk when you buy used, but new cars are now even riskier. Give me the Toyota or Honda with 15+ years of operating and maintenance experience available online for free. If the engine goes, I'll put another one in it for a few car payments. The whole auto industry is a fucking scam in 2026.[Edited on June 18, 2026 at 12:06 PM. Reason : i forgot the fucking turbos on everything because they're trying to minimize engine displacement]Even the good brands have gone to shit. Toyota wants to hybrid everything and Honda has put out some shit engines in recent years[Edited on June 18, 2026 at 12:08 PM. Reason : daf]

I got a catch can but that only does so much. At some point i'll need to walnut blast but thats when i'll get something else. Just passed 56k. Need new tires around 65k so might do it then
6/18/2026 1:30:27 PM
You said you drive less than 3k miles a year. Tires should dry rot before you wear them out.
6/18/2026 2:03:53 PM
Everyone is the villain in someone else's story. In who's story are you the villain, and why? Bonus points if it's a TWWer.[Edited on June 18, 2026 at 2:07 PM. Reason : h]
6/18/2026 2:07:21 PM
Can't really think of anyone. There are plenty of folks who don't like me, but idk if I'm at villain status for anyone. I'll think about it some more and get back to you if I come up with one.
6/18/2026 2:28:34 PM
^^^There was a period when i was putting miles on more regularly. Got them in oct of 20...perhaps i should research dry rot thing to see how long i have until i need to replace even if not at 45k milesYesterday i thought about asking your consumption of nut and nut butters like peanut butter. I'm thinking of eliminating due to calorie density...do you consume?]

I edited in a question i thought of yesterday in that last post. And i also get michelins which i consider the best tire
6/18/2026 2:30:44 PM
I usually go with Michelins, but rubber is rubber and it all dries and cracks eventually.
6/18/2026 2:32:20 PM
Thanks for the info about 2026 cars.
6/18/2026 2:37:44 PM
Which would you get if you had to...an EV or a hybrid? Easy decision?
6/19/2026 2:19:57 PM
Hybrid if it's my only vehicle. If I'm still going to have another vehicle, I'd take an EV.
6/19/2026 2:48:32 PM
I dig the nuance thanksI tell ya i'd love to not have to go to the gas station anymore
6/19/2026 3:10:10 PM
Sure, who wouldn't? But I drive 2-4 hours away at least once a month and you know what sucks worse than going to the gas station? Going to the charging station and sitting still for 30 minutes.
6/19/2026 3:14:58 PM
Would you recommend the ninja creami? Do you regret purchasing it, since you haven't used it in a few years?
6/21/2026 3:39:46 PM
I was making like some protein "ice cream" things with it that I'd make by blending up greek yogurt and protein powder and idk what all and portioning it out into the creami cups and I guess I just got annoyed with all the clean up. I'd almost forgot about it and now you've got me wanting to break it back out, so I wouldn't say I regret it. It's a relatively big expensive unitasker appliance, but the stuff I made with it was pretty decent.
6/21/2026 5:16:45 PM
How long has it been since you were clean shaven? Does your face have a farmers tan where the area where your beard is is lighter colored?
6/23/2026 2:47:42 PM
I went down to just a moustache back in April, but I immediately grew the beard back. Before that, I'd had the beard since 2005.
6/23/2026 5:53:00 PM
Was your skin noticeably lighter?
6/23/2026 6:11:18 PM
6/23/2026 7:24:09 PM
