the intent of the proposal was not to suggest that macklemore and kraft's conversation would solve a conflict in the middle east

it was to show it's possible that two human beings can disagree with each other and still speak to each other with respect as human beings. i think both macklemore and kraft are sufficiently human to be a spokesperson for that thesis.
