Did Austin Rivers just imply that Ziegler and Shabazz are both coming to Duke?

Not to be insensitive, but there's got to be more to it than that. That happened in December '09, when he was still in high school, right? It was his junior year, but he was still able to reclassify and start duke early. And he's played 2 seasons at duke. And bext season doesn't start for 6 months, why would they announce this now?

Why would his sister be driving down to watch the game if he wasn't there.

Context clues could help here.


Curry gets a lot more minutes than Dawkins and they've got Cook and Thornton. Maybe he thinks he'll get more minutes after Curry leaves. Or maybe he's got academic problems.

you cant take coach K's word on situations like this. He's always got an ulterior motive.

fair enough. losing a sister would be tough. again, not to be insensitve, but he's played 2.5 seasons at duke since that happened. but i guess it's affecting him enough that he feels he won't be ready to play again in six months.

I too, feel like there is more to it. I was thinking academic problems so he would normally be ruled ineligible for his senior season but instead will claim grief as the reason and be able to retake classes and redshirt.
