idk, Burr is pretty great, but you have to appreciate self-deprecating comedy I guess

and The Everlasting Gaze is a cool song

I did just watch the 6 minute(ish) video of them on Howie Mandel (sp) where apparently neither of them knew the other was going to be there, and they looked slightly different

but also sort of similar... :3333

I appreciate self-deprecating comedy, and i still don't think bill burr is remotely funny. He is not my cup of tea.

I have yet to see a bad skit/sketch/standup

I will admit that I didn't know who he was before I was listening to satellite radio and the DJs were talking about Corgan and his similarity to Burr and the possible relation

and that all my exposure thus far is through YouTube

maybe you've known about him for a while? his earlier persona seemed a bit offputting, but being an old ornery looking middle aged guy fits in perfectly with the comedy


who are your go-to comedians?

I might turn to listening to more standup comedy or something while I'm working bc I drive around for like 5 hours a day be like OH MY GOD WHEN DO THE INTRUSIVE CRAZY THOUGHTS STOP I HATE EVERYTHING

idk, I'll just stick to accepting it and not 100% understanding

I feel like I've read and heard explanations, but I mean

I can't lift myself out of my body just because I don't like my bipolar depression

like to me it's kind of the same thing lol

like something I can't help or easily change (mental illness, gender)

it seems to me like if you do that, you would just alienate yourself from everyone

which I guess in a lot of cases might be what they were going for. distancing themselves from bigoted family members and trying to find communities of people more like them

and that's fair

I just for some reason will apparently always struggle with wrapping my head around it :3

I enjoy a wide variety of comedians. Norm Macdonald is the funniest person who has ever lived. The last special i watched that had me loling was roy wood jr. I very much appreciate the comedic genius of both joe pera and conner o'malley.

I kinda like Bill Burr.

Billy Corgan is a total douche, always was.

But I recently broke-out my CDs to listen to in the garage, and Gish is still an awesome album (and most of Siamese Dream is really good too).
