Team USA is bringing its A team. They’re calling it our best Baseball Classic roster ever, mainly because we landed last year’s Cy Young winners, Tarik Skubal and Paul Skenes. Skubal and Skenes are much better than our usual starting pitchers. We haven’t won it since 2017.

Our opener against Brazil is Friday, March 6 in Houston. 8 PM ET on Fox. The championship game is in Miami on Monday, March 16.

I'd be ticked if it went the other way, to be sure. Ump definitely expanded the strike zone over the last 3 innings of the game. US got a few key 2nd strike calls on them that were a couple inches off the plate, but it seemed to be going both ways, tbh. That last pitch just dropped at the very last second, tho. may have fooled the home plate ump

That doesn't do the pitch justice. Damn thing dropped almost 12 inches in the last 5 feet. You have to swing at that in that situation, and the pitch absolutely froze the batter. If it was a straight fastball that was obviously low the whole time, fine.
