Screw the NCAA and their hypocrisy. I'm pulling for this guy to be the Heisman runner-up behind the one and only CJ Bailey.

UNC is #78 in the wayyy too early rankings.

What’s the NCAA hypocrisy here?

Seems pretty clear cut that he should be ineligible and kinda bullshit that the judge has granted the injunction.

I’m all for player empowerment and players making money. But players betting on their own sport (and own team!) is a bad thing across all sports at all levels and that’s kinda universally agreed upon.

^^ this. At a minimum, a rule against betting on your own team in any way is perfectly reasonable

I was just hating on the NCAA for profiting off of student athletes for years, but I get how this is different. Although they (the NCAA) can promote Draft Kings and such, they are not allowed to promote any specific bets or receive any revenue from these companies.

The fact that his lawyers argued he had some kind of mental disorder attributed to his gambling addiction is a slap in the face to those with real mental disorders.

Quote :
"Indiana Football: At least 40 wagers placed between September and October 2022. These bets targeted Hoosier games or individual teammates, ranging from $1 to $114 and totaling roughly $850. Sorsby never bet on games he actually played in."

Quote :
"Proxy Funding: He funneled over $60,000 to a friend. This money was pooled into a shared FanDuel account registered under his brother-in-law's identity."

At what point do you tell your BIL to fuck off and quit placing losing bets?
