Ok here is a (what i consider) good one

How does search know when to search for a word that is distinct, versus not searching for a common word?

There is a show discussed prior in entertainment called "from". If you search for posts using the word "from" nothing comes up, i suspect because a common word and a ton of posts have that word. A word like "frankly", for example, pulls up results. How is search knowing not to search common words?

honestly the biggest and simplest thing for me is I've been using https://www.rescuetime.com/ for years. it keeps track of how I spend my time (on my pc/laptop/phone at least), categorizes it into productivity levels, and gives me a score. I check my score throughout the day/week and make sure I'm not getting (too) distracted by "unproductive" stuff. self-accountability ftw.

I use https://obsidian.md/ pretty much every day and that's my main notetaking and todo management system. i create a daily note every morning and take notes on what i'm working on throughout the day. i have a keyboard shortcut that pops up a text prompt and i can just type whatever and it'll add it timestamped to the bottom of my daily note. i also have a keyboard shortcut that creates a subpage in my daily note for any notes or brainstorming i want to do that's more than just a few bullet points. if i think of something I need to do I add it to my daily note and i have a page in obsidian that lists all my todos from across all my pages and prioritizes them, so it's easy to check one page and see everything even if it's scattered across a bunch of different daily notes.

I do use voice notes and voice typing a lot. I use https://app.limitless.ai/ to just leave the mic on and talk to myself throughout the day (brainstorming out loud works better for me than typing my thoughts as I think them). Windows has a voice typing feature (win + H key) and I do the same on my mac with https://superwhisper.com/ On my phone sometimes I use limitless, sometimes I just use the samsung voice recorder app (usually if i go for a walk at night i'll brainstorm for a while and record it), which also does transcription and summaries. not 100% sure what you mean here, but I do consume a lot of content. i'm on twitter a lot obviously so I get a lot of my real time throughout the day news and chit chat there. I just don't get sucked into the vortex as much as I used to, and I'm much happier spending my time on tech than politics anyways. I also get a lot of tech news from https://news.ycombinator.com/ and then there's youtube. i use the Watch Later list a lot, and I triage videos from that list into topic specific lists. for anything i find interesting on the web, i either bookmark it (I used to use https://getpocket.com/ but it shut down recently so now I just make weekly folders in the browser native bookmarks) or I use the obisidian browser extension to add a new page for the article/video/url and take my own notes on it if needed. other than tagging and linking pages in obsidian, I don't do a ton of cataloging per se.

How far along are you with your plans to develop TWW AI for sinister purposes* to raise $$ for this site?

*There have to be hundreds, if not thousands, of abandoned TWW profiles including pictures of college aged women. It would be entirely feasible to harvest pictures of cute girls faces, and plant them on generated images of a seductive nature. Then use TWW AI chatbots to to communicate under these profiles with external users. Surely, there would initial revenue generated at $5 a pop when people register to chat with these bots, and then even more revenue generated "pig butchering " style once these external users are hooked.

the economic shifts will be challenging to navigate. but we've done it before and we'll do it again.



the psychological shifts will be equally challenging. people need to find purpose and meaning in their lives and the economic, political and social changes are going to make a lot of people very confused and sometimes angry. it's already taking place.

besides a ton of american flags on the fenceposts leading up to the property, there was absolutely nothing trumpian about it. it was a very nice ceremony. i couldn't drink/party as much as i otherwise would cus I had to leave at 10pm and drive 4 hours back home, but overall it was a very pleasant experience.
